Jillian Jones - God's Not Far (CCM)



Back in 2018, Jillian (Jill) Jones released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'God's Not Far'. This is one of the 10 tracks on her album 'Perfectly Clear'. We didn't have Jill's music in our database... up to now 😀. We are so happy with this new 'find' that we wanted to share it with you.

This is Jill's story behind the song: "God’s Not Far was based on my journey with postpartum anxiety when I was afraid to leave home. I needed a reminder that, even though I wasn’t ready to go out into the world yet and it seemed like recovery wasn’t quite within my grasp, God was still there with me, waiting for when I was ready to emerge again."

"Stand By Me" by Daniel Aranda: Finding Steadiness in Life's Storms

Who’s standing with you in the storm? “Stand By Me” by Daniel Aranda is an amazing rendition of a hymn written by Charles Albert Tindley in 1905. Tindley was the son of a former slave, a man who knew what it meant to need help that wasn’t guaranteed. He didn’t write from comfort. He wrote from the middle of a fight, and that’s exactly why the song is still so relevant and cherished by many today. Daniel Aranda’s recording brings gospel legends Terry Blackwood and Charlie McCoy into that same lineage, carrying Tindley’s plea forward into a new generation.  The lyrics move through life’s troubles, one verse at a time. “When the storms of life are raging, stand by me”  — that’s not poetic exaggeration. Tindley’s first verse is about a ship tossed on open water, powerless against the waves. "Returning - Live" by Victory House Worship: Waiting with Fire in Our Lamps

“Returning — Live” by Victory House Worship makes us aware that all of creation seems to hold its breath. “The earth is groaning for redemption, Creation reaches for Her King.” That’s the present-day reality that the apostle Paul described centuries ago, and Victory House Worship beautifully captures that in this song. The lyrics don’t dwell only on what Jesus already did at the cross; it looks forward. “The oil in our lamps is burning, For Him who was and is and is returning.” That line carries the whole weight of our Christian hope: Past, present, and future, all coming together in One. Jesus! The bridges elaborates on this hope, comparing His first coming with His second coming. “Though You came as a Lamb, You’ll return as a Lion.” Gentleness gave way to sacrifice once.
