"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." "Thank You, Jesus" by Risen Sons: Chains Broken, Freedom Found

Risen Sons' "Thank You, Jesus" is a song about how God can redeem us from our brokenness, how He gives us a new purpose, and how we can contribute to spreading His light to others. Risen Sons start the song by acknowledging how brokenness causes sleepless nights: "I remember the nights I couldn't find rest, chasing shadows with an empty chest." You've most likely experienced times of brokenness in your life. God teaches us that brokenness isn't our end state… There is light on the horizon! God offers each one of us a way forward.  When His mercy steps in, everything changes. "Mercy found me, grace called my name, now I'm alive and I'll never be the same."
