Jonathan Jackson - God Had Another Plan (CCM)

Jonathan Jackson - God Had Another Plan
Jonathan Jackson has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called God Had Another Plan.

The lyrics to this song brought to mind a verse in Matthew 28, verse 20, "I Will Be With You Always."
These were His last words of encouragement to those whose world had been turned upside down and inside out! A group of people who believed Jesus to be the Messiah that would save the world, only to see Him arrested and crucified later. Their world felt like an emotional roller coaster.

Despite today's challenges, this promise still remains true and powerful. A promise that also applies to you personally. Even if you feel like your life is a rollercoaster at times, there is comfort in knowing that God has another plan for you.

Lyrics:

VERSE 1
I felt like I needed pain to heal the hurt
All the scars marked the signs of my worth
Would anyone miss me if I was gone
Would anybody care if I wasn’t there at all

CHORUS
But God had another plan
That death was not my end
He spoke life in me again
My story wasn’t over
Cause he keeps moving closer
Till my pain is no longer my shame
God had another plan

VERSE 2
Deeper than I thought, greater than I knew,
Though my grief was strong, it melted in His truth
That every cut erased within His wounds
He took my scars to the cross and left them in the tomb

BRIDGE
I was lost
Within myself
But I wasn’t hidden
He was there with me
I was all alone
With my darkest thoughts my faith was cold
But it didn’t scare Him
Cause He was there with me
He stayed right with me

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"Is Anybody There? (Psalm 27)" by Stephen M. Miller: Holding On to Grace at Heaven’s Door

Stephen M. Miller's "Is Anybody There? (Psalm 27)" comes in the quiet aftermath of the Christmas celebrations, when reflection can feel like isolation. Stephen's song isn't about polishing away his mistakes, nor does it encourage you to do so with your mistakes. Stephen shares his painful experience, "I never saw it coming Lord // It felt right but it was wrong // Family and friends have left me // But I still have you and a song."   Stephen owns the fallout of his actions, taking accountability without despair. "I said it and I did it, Lord // Broke more hearts than I'll ever know // I can't fix this, though I've tried // Don't be angry, and please don't go." His song is a prayer for God's presence and guidance. "Hear me when I call you, Lord // Don't turn your face away // Don't give up on me like others have // Come help me through this day." Stephen describes a fear that we too experience when we ...
