After Grace - More Than Ever (CCM)

After Grace - More Than Ever
After Grace has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called More Than Ever.

More Than Ever is a song about the realization that we may not understand everything about this life, the things that happen, and the things we go through … but being okay with that.  It’s a song that speaks to being confused and frustrated, but knowing that God is there, and we can put our trust in him.

“I lost my dad in 2020 to Covid, and it was the hardest thing my family and I have ever faced.  It happened so suddenly and so unexpectedly.  We weren’t prepared for the moment.  During the past year I have spent a lot of time questioning my faith, and questioning life in general.  When your faith is tested by tragedy, you have a choice.  You can run away from it or you can draw closer to it.  My family and I chose to draw closer to it.  My dad was a pastor and spent his life serving the Lord and doing whatever he could to help people.  He showed me what it means to talk the talk and walk the walk.  I am so thankful for that, and because of what my dad showed me, I know that I must put my trust in God.  It sometimes hurts, and it doesn’t always make sense, but it’s part of who I am.  Many of the things I used to value in life aren’t that important to me anymore, but the core values of my faith and who Jesus is are stronger than ever.” - Cody Clark

Lyrics:

[Verse]
Never been another time in my whole life
My faiths been more tested and tried
Than right here right now
In the middle of the fight

[Verse]
I'm finding out that the things I heard the preacher say
Are so much more than another Sunday school cliche
All the sermons and the old songs
Are the holy ground my tired soul's standing on

[Pre-chorus]
And I'm believing more, more than ever before
A light I don't know but never been more sure
God, You are faithful in the fire and You are good
Through my valley of pain
I've seen You keep every promise You make
My heart will say I love You, Lord
More than ever

[Chorus]
More, more than ever before
More than ever
More, more than ever before

[Verse]
I'll be lying if said that You
Didn't do some things that leave me so, so confused
Somehow, through it all
I know You're in control, yeah!
And through it all, I believe in

[Pre-chorus]
More, more than ever before
A light I don't know but never been more sure
God, You are faithful in the fire and You are good
Through my valley of pain
I've seen You keep every promise You make
My heart will say I love You, Lord
More than ever

[Chorus]
More, more than ever before
More than ever
More, more than ever before

[Verse]
I'm learning to trust You more
I tried on my own before
I know that I need You, Lord

[Pre-chorus]
(More, more than ever before)
More than ever
Mmmm (more, more than ever before)
More than ever, I'm believing more, more than ever before
A light I don't know but never been more sure
God, You are faithful in the fire and You are good (sing out loud!)
Through my valley of pain
I've seen You keep every promise You make
My heart will say I love You, Lord
More than ever

[Outro]
More, more than ever before
More than ever
More, more than ever before
More than ever

"A Love Song" by Seek and Surrender: The Three-Stranded Covenant

(By Jasper Tan) We always see people say "I love you" to someone, professing their love to that significant other. But we often see how a marriage united by love easily shreds to tatters, and we ask ourselves, "Why?" Where did it all go wrong? How did something joined together by love easily get broken and be accepted as "falling out of love"? But the biggest thought that comes to mind while listening to Seek and Surrender's latest song, "A Love Song," is: do we really understand what it feels like to love? In Seek and Surrender's song, there are countless lines in which the singer professes his love to his bride. It seeks to highlight the sincerity of his love, the magnanimity, the pureness. But in those lines, there's this line that we all should focus on —  "If Christ gave Himself for His bride, Oh, then I'll give myself for mine." Do we know how Christ gave himself for his bride (the Church)? He sacrificed himself w...

"Heaven Country" by Jensen & Company: Where Faith Meets Fiddles

Jensen & Company's 'Heaven Country' features Heidi Jensen North. It's a song that bursts with an infectious Texas swing energy, with steel guitars, fiddles, and washboard rhythms that pull you into the vibe. Beneath this melodic energy is a message with a promise: heaven isn't just a destination, it's a homeland where every tear is wiped away!  Can you imagine streets where lions walk with lambs, hunger vanishes, and divisions dissolve into unity? What a contrast compared with today's world! One of the lines that stands out: "There's no divide - there's just one side // The Son is shining every day."  What if we were to start living today as citizens of that eternal country? What's stopping us? The song challenges us: "All the love that you've acquired here - it's your money // Be sure to fill your account." It's a call to invest in what truly lasts. You've never seen its glory, never heard its songs - but...

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....
