Unspoken - Hard Times (CCM)

Unspoken - Hard Times
Unspoken has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Hard Times.

“Writing for this record, we sat down and asked, ‘What do we need to hear ourselves?’” Mattson says. “Sometimes you write songs just based on what sounds good, but we talked ourselves away from doing that. This song is really about transparency, just letting people in to what we were going through.”

But before they could even think about producing this song, they had to endure.

LYRICS:

Sometimes in life the road we’re on is not the one we choose
Hits home when we find ourselves in someone else’s shoes
We sing a song of victory then we sing the blues
But through the highs and lows
No we ain’t losing hope

There’s gonna be hard times
Gonna be long nights
Gonna be days when we’re praying Just to make it through
But when it goes all wrong
We gotta just hold on
The promise that you gave us
Your love will not forsake us
In these hard times

Nothing lasts forever no no
Seasons always change
Change is for the better when your love becomes our strength
You make beauty from the ashes
You cover us in grace
So when darkness tries to knock us down
We’ll lift you up in praise

There’s gonna be hard times
Gonna be long nights
Gonna be days when we’re praying Just to make it through
But when it goes all wrong
We gotta just hold on
The promise that you gave us
Your love will not forsake us
In these hard times

I’m gonna praise you
I’m gonna praise you
I’m gonna praise you in the hard times
I’m gonna praise you
I’m gonna praise you
I’m gonna praise you in the hard times
Your love will lift me
Your love will lift me
Your love will lift, lift me, lift me

Whatever may come whatever we face
We’ll never lose hope never lose faith
Ain’t nothing gonna steal our praise
‘Cause you’ve been faithful all our days
Whatever may come whatever we face
We’ll never lose hope never lose faith
Holding on to the promise that you gave us
Your love will not forsake us in these hard times

Sarah Kroger, Nathan Jess - Belovedness - Live (CCM)

Are you tired of feeling inadequate and alone in your struggles? Have a look at Sarah Kroger's 'Belovedness,' a powerful ballad that reminds us of our worth as children of God. Initially released on Kroger's sophomore album, 'Light,' during the peak of a global healthcare crisis, 'Belovedness' quickly found a following among those battling mental health challenges. The revisited live version, recorded in a barn-turned-studio in the UK countryside, offers a sweet, intimate take on the song, featuring Northern Irish singer-songwriter Nathan Jess on vocals. Kroger wrote the song during a period of personal growth, as she discovered the truth of her identity through reading Henri Nouwen's 'Life of The Beloved.' The lyrics remind us to let go of our past mistakes and the lies we've been told, and to embrace the truth of our belovedness. This song is not only for the Christian community, it is also for anyone struggling with their identity, loo

'The Fall' by Josh Wright: Embracing Healing Through Pain

Josh Wright's new song, 'The Fall,' is about the dark and heavy moments that often come with loss, grief, and sin. Most of us have been there, feeling a deep sense of guilt and shame. But that is not where God wants us to linger! Yes, it's important to understand the consequences of our actions, but there is also a next chapter. God wants us to 'get up' and 'keep going.'  Josh beautifully sings about this next chapter in 'The Fall.' With lyrics like, 'I didn't want the valley, I didn't want the dark,' you can feel the pain and reluctance that Josh experienced. He continues, 'Nobody wants to stumble or ever hit the ground. Nobody wants to have to hurt for healing to be found.'   Josh emphasizes that although we're not looking for pain, it does play an important part in understanding God's love. If there is no contrast, e.g., no pain, then how will we be able to appreciate God's love and plan for us? This is how
