Luke Garfield - Every Knee (CCM)

Luke Garfield has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'Every Knee'.

Every Knee is the fifth single from The Unseen album, a collection of songs about rebellion and restoration by Gold Coast songwriter and music producer Luke Garfield.

Garfield is a seasoned songwriter and producer who spent time in Nashville honing his skills recording other artists. He is continually writing and recording new material at Banana Llama Studios on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Luke Garfield - Every KneeEvery Knee is a song that Garfield wrote one sunny afternoon while his kids were playing in the backyard

“As a father of 4 children (now 5), your time is shared between a lot of important people. So time to write songs needs to be grabbed when you can,” he says.

“Songwriting isn’t always about waiting for the inspiration to strike. Sometimes you’ve just got to take what time you can get in the midst of the busyness of life and write.”

“Every Knee was a song like this and it came together over an hour or so one afternoon while my kids were playing around me in the backyard.” Garfield says.

“Thematically, the thrust of this song is found in its first two words, “It’s simple”. The Christian life and truths are inherently simple. A saving faith in Jesus should be as easy for a child to grasp hold of and believe as it should be for a theologian.

“At the same time Jesus, who he is and the victory he’s won, is incredibly deep theologically as well as having amazing cosmological implications. This song tries to capture both this simplicity as well as the depth.”, says Garfield.

Musically the song departs from the slower ballad-like sound of some of the previous songs on the album and lands squarely in a more upbeat, pop rock vibe.

Every Knee has been sung by Garfield’s local church for the last 8 years. He’s excited to finally have a version of the song to share with everyone.

"The Perfect Man" by Kaylyn Sahs: Finding the Only One Who Never Fails

(by Jasper Tan) “The Perfect Man” is a very beautiful love song by Kaylyn Sahs. I’ve never heard such a beautiful love song written for Jesus that is very relatable, and that truly defines how it is to be loved. Jesus is the only perfect Man who can fulfill our hearts and complete us. His Love is the only kind of Love that we all should desire to have. A lot of the people out there who are still searching to find love and find the perfect partner that they could spend their life with should listen to this song. The song helps to define the type of person they should be looking for and not settle for anything less, because we truly deserve someone who could love them that is as pure as Jesus.  Kaylyn shares that this song is her personal testimony of finding a love that never fails or walks away. And like most people out there who are still in the process of finding love, Kaylyn has also been there, patiently waiting for the perfect partner to come into her life and complete her, on...

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. Dax lays it bare: "Trials and tribulations, all my past trauma," he acknowledges, along with "generational curses from daddy and mama," and the "addictions that clouded my eyes." The honesty about his past struggles makes the message of this song so relatable and powerful.  The chorus is about the moment that the script was flipped, "I'm half the man I used to be." Not a broken man, but a man who has been freed from the burdens that weren't his to carry and kept him from God. "I don't ever chase, I got God," declaring that his new identity is anchored in faith. It's a shrug and a testimo...

"Gentle" by Andrew Macdonald: Finding Grace in Life's Hardest Moments

(by Jasper Tan) Have you heard of any heartfelt song lately that elaborates on the pain, yet the yearning for healing feels so heart-wrenching? Andrew Macdonald's latest song, "Gentle," feels just like that. In what seems like a conversational piece with someone, the song actually is a prayer yearning for God's grace and healing. The lush sound of the acoustic guitar, coupled with the heartfelt delivery of the vocals, delivers a certain kind of sincerity wherein Andrew pours his heart out to Jesus. It is very seldom to hear songs wherein the singer cuts through our emotions just enough for us to feel an affinity to his pleas. And Andrew's outreach for help through prayer is something that really cuts through our own pains when we are in those moments of vulnerability while we deal with our own issues. Though the song starts off as a sad song and the lines that are delivered feel so gloomy and hopeless, the song makes a stark change for the better when it starts to...
