Razzie - Eden (R&B/CHH)

Razzie - Eden
Razzie has released a Christian R&B Hip Hop track called 'Eden'.

Derek Minor produced Eden, and Razzie wrote the lyrics. Eden was originally an entry in Derek Minor's contest. Derek Minor, an artist and producer, launched the competition through his beat store and announced it on social media. The rules stated that you had to rent a beat from his store, write lyrics, record an original song, and submit it to him. Following review, the first place winner would receive a single release deal with Derek and his label, the second place winner would receive an artist consultation. Razzie won second place and a one-on-one meeting with Derek after submitting Eden.

The story behind the song is quite different. Eden is a song about triumphing over the enemy by relying solely on the power of Jesus Christ. The lyrics came naturally, such as 'What I got to lose, Got nothing to lose / When the Spirit fills the room, Demons chuck the deuce,' which explains the entire idea behind the song. Eden is about laying everything out on the table before God, so He can do the rest. We walk into Eden when we lay our burdens on Christ. God's original plan for us is communion and a relationship with Him.

As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

North Palm Worship's 'The First Noel' Featuring Deborah Hong: An Uplifting Christmas Classic

North Palm Worship, well known for their heartfelt worship, offers a fresh rendition of "The First Noel," featuring Deborah Hong. This is one of the most famous carols: a herald proclaiming the coming of Christmas. The First Noel's origins are humble.  The song came about during the Proto-Renaissance (the period that led into the Renaissance), during the 13th or 14th century. The First Noel was written as a way to express the excitement and wonder of Christmas. Hundreds of years ago, during a time without internet or phones, the people of Cornwall sang it in the streets as a way to spread hope and joy. The world may look very different today, but we still gather to sing the song for the same reasons. The song is a testament to the fact that no matter what the earth looks like, no matter how much time passes, the encouraging story of Jesus will always connect with the hearts that are desperate for Him. This rendition is also a call to unite in worship and sing this song fo...
