Reflect Church - Break Every Lie (CCM)

'Break Every Lie' by Reflect Church is a funky CCM praise banger with an inspiring background. The song was born out of personal struggles and challenges when the church the band was part of faced turmoil and hardships. The aftermath left them with fear and doubt about the future. Many feelings are valid, but they aren't necessarily true. The psalmist's words in Psalm 23 reminded the band members of God's goodness and mercy that would follow them all the days of their lives.

Reflect Church - Break Every LieThe song's vibrant and dynamic music, with crunchy synths and luscious textures, complements the powerful message of victory over fear and lies. The lyrics express the resolve to break every lie and fear the enemy tries to impose. The song is a declaration that Jesus is present, and in Him, there is freedom and goodness. The chorus emphasizes the determination to live in freedom and experience God's goodness.

We pray that 'Break Every Lie' may also be(come) your declaration of faith and a personal anthem of triumph over adversity, and remind you of God's unwavering love and victory in every situation.

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. Dax lays it bare: "Trials and tribulations, all my past trauma," he acknowledges, along with "generational curses from daddy and mama," and the "addictions that clouded my eyes." The honesty about his past struggles makes the message of this song so relatable and powerful.  The chorus is about the moment that the script was flipped, "I'm half the man I used to be." Not a broken man, but a man who has been freed from the burdens that weren't his to carry and kept him from God. "I don't ever chase, I got God," declaring that his new identity is anchored in faith. It's a shrug and a testimo...

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....

Haddon’s ‘In Your Arms’: Finding New Life in Christ

Haddon's song "In Your Arms" does a beautiful job of describing challenges that many of us know all too well. Based on Romans 8:6, Haddon sings about his own battle with sin and how Christ helped him overcome. For many years, Haddon found himself stuck in a cycle of self-destructive habits and sin. Pride and lust had brought him to the end of his rope. He kept going further down and wondered when he would reach the bottom. But remembering Romans 6 brought him hope, realizing true life is found only by setting your mind on Jesus.  The lyrics feel like an honest conversation with a friend, urging those who feel lost or weary to turn to God. If you've ever felt crushed by pride, trapped by sin, or just plain exhausted, Haddon's assures you that life is full and hope is certain, where God's embrace is like a gentle hand that is guiding you back on track.  Only God brings hope and new life. As Haddon shares: "So through fire and water, whatever the trial may b...
