'Confidence' by Chris Hart: A Melody of Trust in Divine Friendship

Chris Hart's 'Confidence' is about someone finding their footing again in God's embrace. Have you ever run out of strength and the will to continue on a track that you know is right? Have you longed for a voice to guide you and encourage you to carry through?

Chris Hart - ConfidenceChris Hart's relationship ended badly in 2021, and this triggered a spiral of negativity that also affected his identity, emotional strength, and self-confidence. Chris shares: 'I remember sitting in my room and reading the Bible, and I heard God say, “place your confidence in me, stop trying to do this by yourself. “ I just began to cry as I was in such awe that I heard Him and that He loves me enough to even speak. That's when the words for the song just began to flow.'

This song invites you on a journey from brokenness to the same kind of breakthrough that Chris experienced. By leaning on God's name you too will find that your faith is expanding and your the weight of your burden becoming lighter. Chris declares in the chorus: 'You're more than enough, You love 'til the end, You are my confidence'... a promise that you can hang on to as well, that the Lord is a friend who never leaves.

So, go ahead and plug in your headphones and listen to 'Confidence'. May it become a new anthem for everyone that needs a a reminder that the Lord is an unfailing friend. Remember, in God's hands, all is well.

"In the Room" by Matt Maher feat. Chris Brown: A Heartfelt Desire for Divine Presence

Matt Maher's collaboration with Chris Brown, 'In the Room,' is a soul-stirring Christian song that encapsulates the profound longing to witness transformative moments in the presence of God. The lyrics express the desire to be present when God's power touches broken hearts, ignites faith, and brings healing. The song's verses convey a yearning for those irreplaceable instances when heaven and earth intersect, leading to changed hearts and restored lives. The chorus's declaration, ' I just wanna be in the room when You move,' beautifully encapsulates the eagerness to witness God's miraculous work up close. The bridge's vivid imagery of tearing off the roof and pushing through the crowd reflects the determination to encounter God, no matter the obstacles. The repetition of the bridge emphasizes the earnest plea to witness God's breakthroughs and freedom. 'In the Room' is an invitation to be part of moments that are greater than oneself...

"A Love Song" by Seek and Surrender: The Three-Stranded Covenant

(By Jasper Tan) We always see people say "I love you" to someone, professing their love to that significant other. But we often see how a marriage united by love easily shreds to tatters, and we ask ourselves, "Why?" Where did it all go wrong? How did something joined together by love easily get broken and be accepted as "falling out of love"? But the biggest thought that comes to mind while listening to Seek and Surrender's latest song, "A Love Song," is: do we really understand what it feels like to love? In Seek and Surrender's song, there are countless lines in which the singer professes his love to his bride. It seeks to highlight the sincerity of his love, the magnanimity, the pureness. But in those lines, there's this line that we all should focus on —  "If Christ gave Himself for His bride, Oh, then I'll give myself for mine." Do we know how Christ gave himself for his bride (the Church)? He sacrificed himself w...

"Sunlight (Storge)" by Chelsea Chaisson: Reminisce the Simpler Times

(by Jasper Tan) Feel good, light-hearted, easy listening track. That's how I find Chelsea Chaisson's new single called "Sunlight (Storge)." I was kind of curious what the word "Storge" means, so I had to look it up. According to Wikipedia, "Storge is a Greek word that refers to natural, familial affection or love, particularly the bond between parents and children, as well as among family members and close friends. It is characterized by familiarity, dependence, and loyalty, often rooted in kinship bonds and shared experiences." Sounds very familiar? Of course, it should be, because as per the description, it actually describes what Christian love is. Or should I say how God loves us as His children? Chelsea was inspired to write this song by reminiscing about her childhood, marked by simpler times spent with her cousins and their grandma.  Countless times, we always heard the saying that we all should have faith like a child. The reason for that i...
