'Free' by Chrystal: A Journey from Bondage to Liberty

Chrystal released a song called 'Free'. It is about releasing the chains of our past mistakes and stepping into the hope and freedom that Christ offers us. Her own journey through pain and transformation is the red line through this song, and let me tell you… it is an amazing journey! Read Chrystal's story before you listen to the song, and I promise you, you'll appreciate the lyrics even more.

Chrystal - FreeChrystal's father passed away a few years ago, and she entered into an abusive relationship. This led to severe depression and anxiety. Her anxiety was so bad that when she tried to do everyday activities, she would start to shake all over. The only time she wouldn't shake was when she was singing. God took me through a healing process, and today she is the victorious woman that God created her to be. This song is her testimony to His restoring power.

With this small insight into Chrystal's life, the lyrics you hear her sing carry so much more meaning, 'You came that I may be free, You came that I may worship free, free from the weight of the sin that had me bound you rescued me.' The beauty is that this gift isn't just for Chrystal, it's also a gift that is just waiting for you to pick up and accept. You too can worship and live freely because of Christ's sacrifice!

So, this song doesn't just tell Chrystal's story; it's also telling your (future) story, how the bounds of your past are broken by the sacrifice of Christ… if you let Him! Join Chrystal as she sings, 'Now I can say I am free, now I can say I am free,' because this is the joy we all may feel when we accept His gift of freedom.

May listening to 'Free' be part of your healing, sparking your own journey toward freedom. Embrace His gift of eternal freedom, so you can walk strong in His ways and never look back.
