'Strength Through the Tears' by Krystal Dawn Land - Finding Hope in God's Strength

Krystal Dawn Land's song 'Strength Through the Tears' is inspired by Psalm 56:8, where it says, 'You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.'

Krystal Dawn Land - Strength Through the TearsKrystal shares from her own experiences that God sees every tear, and even more important, He cares deeply about us as we go through life's ups and downs. We're especially vulnerable when we're going through difficult times, because that's when it's easy to drift away from God's path. Krystal's solution is to call out to the Lord to help her find the strength she needs in Him. She sings, 'I've been walking this road for so long, carrying such a heavy load, trying to do it on my own,' echoing what is probably one of our biggest weaknesses… an ego that says 'We can do it', altogether skipping the part where we should be saying, 'We can do it with your help!'

Krystal beautifully directs our focus back to the peace and strength that we can only find in God's embrace, 'Through the cries, through the tears, I find strength even when my heart feels fear. In Your arms, I find peace.' Even when we feel that we are drowning in fear and darkness, it is God who can give us strength… if you let God help you and take the lead.

If you've feeling alone or overwhelmed, give this song a listen. May 'Strength Through the Tears' encourage you to say, 'God, give me strength', stay close Him, trust His plan, and lean into His strength. Experience the promise that God is right there for you, offering you His peace and strength.

Skillet - Valley of Death (CCM)

Skillet has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Valley of Death. The global health crisis of the last two years has led to numerous questions regarding why bad things happen to good people. Skillet's John Cooper explains why he believes God allowed the pandemic to happen. Skillet has released their new album Dominion through Atlantic Records last Friday (Jan. 14). A discussion with 'Loudwire Nights' host Toni Gonzalez brought up the track "Valley of Death," which contains the lyrics: "Someone said this is all part of the plan / But I don't understand." Gonzalez then asked him why he thinks God would allow a pandemic. This is what Cooper said: "Well, the first answer is that we're not good people. We're all fallen and we are all in desperate need of salvation through Jesus. So, we're not actually good people, we all do bad stuff. We all cheat, we've all lied, we're all greedy and as much as the most lov...

"In the Room" by Matt Maher feat. Chris Brown: A Heartfelt Desire for Divine Presence

Matt Maher's collaboration with Chris Brown, 'In the Room,' is a soul-stirring Christian song that encapsulates the profound longing to witness transformative moments in the presence of God. The lyrics express the desire to be present when God's power touches broken hearts, ignites faith, and brings healing. The song's verses convey a yearning for those irreplaceable instances when heaven and earth intersect, leading to changed hearts and restored lives. The chorus's declaration, ' I just wanna be in the room when You move,' beautifully encapsulates the eagerness to witness God's miraculous work up close. The bridge's vivid imagery of tearing off the roof and pushing through the crowd reflects the determination to encounter God, no matter the obstacles. The repetition of the bridge emphasizes the earnest plea to witness God's breakthroughs and freedom. 'In the Room' is an invitation to be part of moments that are greater than oneself...

"Sunlight (Storge)" by Chelsea Chaisson: Reminisce the Simpler Times

(by Jasper Tan) Feel good, light-hearted, easy listening track. That's how I find Chelsea Chaisson's new single called "Sunlight (Storge)." I was kind of curious what the word "Storge" means, so I had to look it up. According to Wikipedia, "Storge is a Greek word that refers to natural, familial affection or love, particularly the bond between parents and children, as well as among family members and close friends. It is characterized by familiarity, dependence, and loyalty, often rooted in kinship bonds and shared experiences." Sounds very familiar? Of course, it should be, because as per the description, it actually describes what Christian love is. Or should I say how God loves us as His children? Chelsea was inspired to write this song by reminiscing about her childhood, marked by simpler times spent with her cousins and their grandma.  Countless times, we always heard the saying that we all should have faith like a child. The reason for that i...
