'The Glory' by DJ Sm!th: Modern Sounds, Eternal Truths

Time for a little bit of a change, and I know not everyone is going to appreciate this genre… but if you can appreciate CEDM, then you're going to love this track! DJ Sm!th's released the track, 'The Glory' in the CEDM genre. This song is an amazing blend of familiar hymn lyrics with a fresh EDM sound. I love how DJ Sm!th managed to breathe a new feel into this timeless message, making the message accessible to a wider audience.

DJ Sm!th - The GloryThe essence of the song is pure praise. It begins with the lines, 'To God be the glory, great things He hath done, So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,' reminding us of God's love for us. By the time you reach the chorus, your ready to join in, 'Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice.'

What makes the message of 'The Glory' so impactful is its focus on redemption, reminding the listener of God's promise of forgiveness. That promise is beautifully captured with the following lines, 'Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, To every believer the promise of God.' No matter who you are and what you have done, there's forgiveness and a fresh start when you turn to Jesus.

So, take a few minutes and listen to 'The Glory.' If you're new to this genre, it will be an interesting experience, and if you listen to the lyrics, it will bring you closer to God.

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....

"Tucker's Song" by Stephen M. Miller: A Tender Tribute to a Loyal Friend

Beneath this gentle Americana-style song, "Tucker's Song" by Stephen M. Miller, is the heartbreak of a seven-year-old boy. The day his grandson had to say goodbye to his dog, Tucker, he asked Stephen, "Will you write a song for Tucker? Can we pretend he's still around?" How can you not say "Yes" to such a request?  This song offers comfort by simply being honest. Instead of dramatizing the grief, the message sits with it and invites the listener to reflect as well. It's lines like "Sing the song to Tucker, sing to all dogs gone away" that remind us that precious memories endure. Have you ever asked yourself how to comfort a grieving child? I know that these situations often remind me that we're all searching for hope after more than one loss! On top of that, how can you extend that hope to a grieving child? Even in situations like the loss of a dear four-legged pet, there is a message of faith to be found: "Sing to God, the...

"Creator" by Phil Wickham: A Reverent Ode to the Maker of All Things

Phil Wickham's song 'Creator' stands as a captivating ode to the divine craftsmanship evident in every corner of the world. As the fourth track from his album 'I Believe,' this song resonates deeply with those who find a connection with God through the beauty of His creation. The verses paint a vivid tapestry of nature's elements praising their Creator, from roaring wind to serene streams, from towering hills to mighty oceans. Wickham masterfully weaves together the symphony of the cosmos, encouraging listeners to join in worship. The chorus resonates like a divine refrain, echoing the holiness of the Creator and inviting Earth and Heaven to sing in eternal unison. The bridge is a triumphant declaration of hope and redemption, illustrating the profound love of a Savior who rescues souls and sets them free. This song compels us to reflect on our purpose and destiny as the lyrics underscore the truth that we were created to magnify, walk beside, and worship our Cr...
