'He Can't' by Ryan Jones – Overcoming with Christ

Ryan Jones releases 'He Can't', a joyful and powerful reminder of the victory we have through Christ. It has a fun, upbeat, Christian pop vibe that really hooks you right in, with an important message. Ryan sings about how the enemy is fighting us, and constantly trying to disrupt our walk with God. But here's the kicker - the enemy can't win if we let Christ fight the fight for us. Ryan boldly declares that 'we are overcomers through Jesus Christ'.

Ryan Jones - He Can'tIn the first verse, Ryan sings, 'Thought he had me, thought he won. Yeah, the enemy he thought that I was good as gone.' I'm sure you've had times when you felt like giving up because you had too much to handle. I know I have! This song helps us remember that the 'enemy's' plans don't last long. 'He can try to steal my joy, and he can try to steal my peace. But he can't take away what my Lord has given me.'

This song is filled with the assurance that no matter what the enemy throws at you, he can't undo what God has done. 'He can't change the empty grave, He can't change that I've been saved,' Ryan sings with conviction. It's a powerful line that really underscores the permanence of Christ's victory.

I'm confident that many will find both comfort and strength in this song. It's a celebration of triumph that's sure to boost your spirit. Give it a listen - and may it boost your faith and fill you with energy of an overcomer!

"Psalm 112 (I'm Confident)" by Young Presley: No Fear in Bad News

What is your house built on?  We all face bad news at some point or other in life. It could be a diagnosis, a layoff, a broken relationship — the question isn’t whether hard news will come, but how you’ll respond when it happens. Young Presley wrestled with that question while he was writing his song “Psalm 112 (I’m Confident)”. The song is part of a Psalms series, coming from a simple vision: turn scripture into music that people will actually listen to. These songs are not intended as a substitute for reading the Bible, but an invitation to further read and explore the Bible. The chorus captures the key message of Psalm 112: “I do not fear bad news, I’m confident, trust in the Lord who cares to be my confidence.” That’s not the denial of bad news. It’s a decision to place your confidence and trust in God.  Look at what David wrote centuries ago in Psalm 112:7–8: “He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afrai...

"Holy Spirit" by Tamika Tyan: When God's Presence Takes Over

The Holy Spirit is more alive than you think. Tamika Tyan wrote “Holy Spirit” during the COVID-19 lockdown — not from a place of peace, but from panic. Stuck at home, cut off from every outside outlet, she felt the walls closing in. Does it sound familiar? God met her in this totally unexpected situation (one that we all were facing), and He challenged her to use her talents to create. What came out wasn’t a quiet, reverent hymn. It was something vibrant, intimate, and electric. That’s exactly what Tamika captured in the song “Holy Spirit”. She describes the Holy Spirit as intoxicating, alive, exhilarating — and the song carries that energy. “It feels like a rush of energy has been released from You and is now flowing through me,” she sings. Like the prophet Jeremiah, who described God’s word as “fire in my bones,” she found something she simply could not contain or walk away from. Now, compare this “energy” with what is described Acts 2:4, “And they were all filled with the Holy Sp...

The lyrics speak to those who may be feeling hesitant or uncertain about stepping into their calling but are encouraged to trust in God's plan and purpose for their life. The chorus reminds us that we were born for this moment and that we have Heaven on our side. The uplifting message of the song is further emphasized by the powerful instrumentation and Amanda's passionate vocals. The song's bridge encourages listeners to raise their voice up to the sky and let their heart ring out for Christ.
