Mama Tee, Awipi, and Tina Philips Bring Joy with 'The Angel's Message (Afro Christmas)'

Mama Tee, Awipi, and Tina Philips - The Angel's Message (Afro Christmas)

Mama Tee, Awipi, and Tina Philips released an inspiring medley of timeless Christmas classics, 'The Angel's Message (Afro Christmas).' A medley that beautifully blends familiar melodies like "Ding Dong Merrily on High," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "Gloria in Excelsis Deo," and "The Little Drummer Boy," songs with lyrics that are centered around the angel Gabriel's messages.

The lyrics tell how the shepherds were watching their sheep at night when the angel Gabriel came with the news that Jesus had been born. The praise, "Glory to God in the highest," sets the tone for a most inclusive celebration that is passed down through the generations. Gabriel's message brings hope and divine love, reminding us that Christ's birth is a fulfillment of prophecy, a gift of peace, and a reconciliation for humanity. It's a message to cherish every day of our lives.

As the song declares Jesus as Immanuel, "God with us," it's giving us a gentle reminder of His presence in our daily lives. May this Afro-Christmas medley not only connect you to the divine story but also invite you to accept Him as your Lord and Savior, and help you to celebrate His gift to us with joy and gratitude.

"The Perfect Man" by Kaylyn Sahs: Finding the Only One Who Never Fails

(by Jasper Tan) “The Perfect Man” is a very beautiful love song by Kaylyn Sahs. I’ve never heard such a beautiful love song written for Jesus that is very relatable, and that truly defines how it is to be loved. Jesus is the only perfect Man who can fulfill our hearts and complete us. His Love is the only kind of Love that we all should desire to have. A lot of the people out there who are still searching to find love and find the perfect partner that they could spend their life with should listen to this song. The song helps to define the type of person they should be looking for and not settle for anything less, because we truly deserve someone who could love them that is as pure as Jesus.  Kaylyn shares that this song is her personal testimony of finding a love that never fails or walks away. And like most people out there who are still in the process of finding love, Kaylyn has also been there, patiently waiting for the perfect partner to come into her life and complete her, on...

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. Dax lays it bare: "Trials and tribulations, all my past trauma," he acknowledges, along with "generational curses from daddy and mama," and the "addictions that clouded my eyes." The honesty about his past struggles makes the message of this song so relatable and powerful.  The chorus is about the moment that the script was flipped, "I'm half the man I used to be." Not a broken man, but a man who has been freed from the burdens that weren't his to carry and kept him from God. "I don't ever chase, I got God," declaring that his new identity is anchored in faith. It's a shrug and a testimo...

"Sometime" by Robert Peterson and The Crusade: God always finds us

(by Jasper Tan) In the tradition of our favorite CCM rock anthems from the 90's and early 2000's (the Jars of Clay and Vertical Horizon come to mind), Robert Peterson and The Crusade's recently released single, called "Sometime," is a joyful experience to listen to. This is a rock song that speaks about waiting and being prepared for the right moment to be called by Jesus. It comes from a place where the miracle and the sudden arrival of God in our lives are always unpredictable. But when we are ready, God will find us. The lyricism of the song is written in such a way that there are double meanings and vague messages. I understand the artistic decision to write this in such a manner. I always believe that evangelism isn't always straightforward, and there is definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach. Sometimes people who have yet to encounter Jesus in their lives may feel resistance and apathy towards the truth of Jesus' love for us, but are open to mes...
