Austin Ludwig releases a touching and very personal song called "Wholeheartedly." After aging out of foster care, he found a much-needed sense of belonging and healing through community at a local church. Joining the worship team at 18, this triggered what Austin called his transformative season. During this time he began to write this song; his first original piece led in worship. Nearly a decade later, Austin revisited "Wholeheartedly," breathing new life into it for his sophomore album.
The lyrics of "Wholeheartedly" capture the essence of true worship and the process of refining intentions and discovering authenticity in worship. Austin expresses a longing to worship God wholeheartedly, holding nothing back at all. He sings about avoiding the emptiness of mere routine and that it's better to focus on sincere devotion. The chorus emphasizes giving every part of ourselves to God as a total undivided offering.
May "Wholeheartedly" remind you that worship isn't just about singing worship songs or those fleeting moments that we spend in prayer; it's about living a life that is 'wholeheartedly' dedicated to God.
