'Trust' by Olly Kiff (feat. Beth Merill & Kenisha): A Song of Faith and Reliance

Olly Kiff's song "Trust," featuring Beth Merill and Kenisha, started as a solo project back in 2022, inspired by Psalm 62. Olly got stuck and shelved it, but during a songwriting day in London, he teamed up with Beth and Kenisha. Together, they turned something that had been pretty much abandoned back to life and, at the same time, demonstrated that often the power of "we" is greater than the power of "me"!

Olly Kiff (fet. Beth Merill & Kenisha) - TrustThe same also applies to the central theme of this song, our faith in God. The "me" in each of us can try on our own, but it is when we team up with God, patiently waiting in silence, that we find true strength and hope. The song encourages us to always place our trust in God, to pour out our hearts to Him, and to focus on the "we" by including Him in all parts of your life. God is your rock, salvation, mighty fortress, and refuge. That is the power of "we" with God!

It doesn't matter what uncertainties you're facing; we will always find peace and security in God. Shift your focus from "me" to "He" to "we" and place your faith in Him. He will never disappoint, because He is our way, our truth, and our hiding place. May this song encourage you to place your trust in the One who never fails.

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"More Than a Conqueror" by Doyin Teru: A Live Worship Experience of Unshakable Faith

Doyin Teru's live rendition of "More Than a Conqueror" is a powerful gospel song that declares God's unshakable love and provision. The song was recorded in Vienna with the J423 Community. Inspired by passages in Romans 8, reminding us that nothing—neither life, death, nor any power—can separate us from God's love. "Nothing will take Your Presence from my life" and "No one shall separate me from Your love" are  examples from the lyrics that are both a confession and also a celebration of the victory we all may experience through Christ. The inspiration for this song came to Bolaji Teru on December 10, 2022, when he woke up with a melody in his heart: "Nothing will take Your presence from my life; no one shall separate me from Your love." . A few months later, he was inspired to write the verse, drawing entirely from the Scriptures. The first verse is based on Romans 8:38, and the second verse comes from Romans 8:32, passages that emph...
