"Outrageous" by Dave Langdon – When Lyrics Become a Lifeline

Dave Langdon's "Outrageous" is the kind of song that makes you stop for a moment and think, "Wow, He really did that for me?" Co-writer Chelsea Brandow was driving in her car when the concept and melody for the chorus just flowed out. They loved the idea she shared and decided to run with it.

Dave Langdon - OutrageousThe song celebrates how Christ gave everything on the cross, even though we didn't deserve it. Lines like "I'm amazed that you would give your life for me" remind us how incredible and astonishing it is that Christ chose to give his life for us on the cross.

What stands out the most is how personal this song feels. Dave sings about being undeserving yet forgiven and broken yet healed. The bridge beautifully captures this: "My heart can barely fathom the measure of Your love." The lyrics are catchy, and you'll quickly find yourself singing along, especially with this part, "Your love is outrageous," over and over again.

This song is a reminder of a love that is so outrageous, that it changes you forever. Dave shares, "I am grateful for the transformation Christ has brought in my life. As expressed in the lyrics, this outrageous love is 'a love beyond belief. It never changes, but I know it's changing me.'"

So, do yourself a favor and give the song a listen. May the lyrics sink in and point you to the One who loves you outrageously. Enjoy!

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

Riley Clemmons - Stuck Inside My Head - Single Mix (CCM)

Riley Clemmons has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Stuck Inside My Head - Single Mix. The song 'Inside My Head' was born out of a season of pain and healing. As a result, the song has a way of speaking about life's difficulties that is accessible and relatable to everyone.  "As I was writing and dreaming up this record, "says Riley, "there was never a plan to create anything but honest music, born from hurting, growing, and healing. I collected songs for this body of work much like I collected every experience I found myself in the middle of over the past couple of years... the highs & lows, the conversations with God, the questions about my identity, the heartbreak, and the healing." Although the music addresses life's hurts, it does much more than that. The trials of life, according to Clemmons, are ordained by God so we can draw close to him. "The thread that began to connect them all quickly became the idea tha...

"Follow Jesus" by S.D.G.: Unity Through One Teacher

"Follow Jesus" by S.D.G. (Soli.Deo.Gloria) is a song that started in a miraculous way. S.D.G. shared that 95% of the song lyrics, melody, and harmony came to mind completely unexpectedly in 1–2 days. He compares it to lightning, lightly, seemingly without his effort, as if somebody else from High sent it all to him and said, "do it"!  A song sparked by the realization that many people just say, "Has not been born on earth yet… // Man who can wisely teach me life." But look at Jesus! He's already here, sowing love and offering wisdom that is way beyond human understanding.  The song challenges us to reflect on our feelings of pride and self-reliance: "When I do say - I'm always right… Am I not blind?" It invites us to exchange our arrogance for humility and reminds us that Christ already lives among us and guides us with His grace. "Jesus - He lives in our midst, // He's the best teacher that the earth has ever known!"   Th...
