"Shades Of Grace" by The Well Worship Collective: Thankfulness for God's Unending Mercy

The Well Worship Collective's "Shades of Grace" beautifully describes our belief in God's unwavering mercy and grace, and our thankfulness that He is with us in every moment of our lives. The Well is a home church in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA). Their mission is to engage in the presence of God and lead others (across the earth) into God's presence through worship.  "Shades of Grace" focuses on God's constant presence and unending mercy. A message about God's promise to us, a promise that is so life-changing that it seems difficult to believe that it is already ours if we accept it. We're reminded that through every era, God's breath and hand have been (and still are) guiding and uplifting us. The lyrics acknowledge that in every miracle and every blessing, we actually see God's hand at work. The declaration in the refrain "God did it" serves as a reminder that through every trial, healing, and redemption, it is always God w...

Nina Grace's "Overcome": A Song of Faith and Victory

Nina Grace's song "Overcome" is inspired by Exodus 14 and 15. The scripture recalls how Moses led the Israelites across the Red Sea. You can imagine their initial fear as they were trapped between the Egyptians and sea. A fear that rapidly changed when they witnessed how the Lord delivered them by parting the Red Sea. After this experience, they declared, "The Lord is my salvation!"  What was true in the days of Moses remains true today. God is always faithful, even when our own faith wavers. When you realize that God is already present, waiting for you, this turns into a call for us to come into action. Just like Nina sings, we need to hold onto God during our broken moments. That's when His promises will renew us. The lyrics encourage us to stand strong and fearlessly proclaim that God is our salvation.  Nina's lyrics repeatedly remind us of His faithfulness: "When my faith is shaken, I'll hold fast to you" and "Lord, you've bee...

Chris Sarver's 'Send The Wind' – Inviting Revival

Chris Sarver's song "Send the Wind" grew out of a prayer that Chris knows many have prayed and continue to pray. He was worshipping in a still and quiet place, and his heart drifted to an old and familiar longing for revival. In Chris' backstory, he reflects on how we often pray for widespread renewals, like those we hear about in places like Africa or ancient Nineveh. At the same time, he challenges us to consider that the fire of revival must first ignite within us. Why would we pray for God to revive the multitudes before we pray that He would revive our own hearts? The lyrics beautifully capture this powerful paradigm shift. It's through lines like "Holy Spirit would you come make this space" and "Separate us from the love of anything we put in the way," that Chris reminds us that true revival starts with us, in our own hearts. We need to free ourselves from all distractions, whether sinful or seemingly innocent, that take up space in our...

Hekla Goodman’s "Yahweh" - A Song of Freedom and Faith

Hekla Goodman’s latest song, “Yahweh,” from her EP “roots+”, is a beautiful declaration of faith, resilience, and spiritual grounding. The EP combines modern melodies with classic gospel vibes, creating an experience that feels both fresh and timeless. “Yahweh” celebrates that we are freed from the burdens of sin thanks to God’s endless grace. The lyrics are relatable and remind us that we are no longer strangers; our names can be found in God’s kingdom. Goodman triumphantly declares that all chains are broken, captives are freed, and shame is released merely at the sound of God’s name. God wants to be part of your life, and he already knows your everyday struggles and victories. He assures you that you too can stand firm, be freed from your shackles, and be filled with His love, all in His name. There is nothing that we can do to deserve this. Invite God to be part of your life, travel life’s journey together, fill your heart with praise, and glorify Him throughout the day. (Related s...

'Trust' by Olly Kiff (feat. Beth Merill & Kenisha): A Song of Faith and Reliance

Olly Kiff's song "Trust," featuring Beth Merill and Kenisha, started as a solo project back in 2022, inspired by Psalm 62. Olly got stuck and shelved it, but during a songwriting day in London, he teamed up with Beth and Kenisha. Together, they turned something that had been pretty much abandoned back to life and, at the same time, demonstrated that often the power of "we" is greater than the power of "me"!  The same also applies to the central theme of this song, our faith in God. The "me" in each of us can try on our own, but it is when we team up with God, patiently waiting in silence, that we find true strength and hope. The song encourages us to always place our trust in God, to pour out our hearts to Him, and to focus on the "we" by including Him in all parts of your life. God is your rock, salvation, mighty fortress, and refuge. That is the power of "we" with God!  It doesn't matter what uncertainties you're...

Uplifting Worship in 'Revelation 4:8' by MELL.

Happy New Year everyone! We have a beautiful song to start this year! MELL's new single "Revelation 4:8" is obviously inspired by the vivid passage found in Revelation 4:8. This gospel song is centered around a passage that describes 'four living creatures' that have six wings, with eyes all around, and ceaselessly proclaiming, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." MELL beautifully captures this reverence and endless praise, and invites us to join along with the heavenly hosts in praising God. With lines like "We cry holy, holy, holy is our God," MELL leads us into worship. The chorus repeats some of God's names - Elyon, Elohim, Adonai - reminding us that there is none like Him. Revelation 8:4 is an invitation to feel and acknowledge the awe and majesty of God. May this song make you more aware of His presence in your life and encourage you to lift your voice in praise. Realize that our worship here ...

Embrace God's Presence with 'Holy Spirit Wind' by Lori Morris

Lori Morris is a landscape painter, Christian singer-songwriter, and loves to share her creativity. She released the song "Holy Spirit Wind," a song with an amazing backstory. "I've been writing songs on my own for about 15 years," Lori writes, "but in 2023, I prayed for God to connect me with other Christian songwriters. Just a few months later, He led me to my first Lake City Lights Retreat in Florida. … On one of the final days, I sat on the beach, connecting with God through His creation. I was enjoying His presence and the waves rolling in, and I prayed, "As the waves are rolling in, the strength You give me never ends." That line became the foundation of the song I co-wrote." You'll see this line appear in the chorus, a chorus that captures the essence of God's endless strength and presence: "As the waves are rolling in, The strength You give me never ends, Come and breathe on me again, Holy Spirit wind." The verses...
